At Selfcraft Legal, we aim to provide a seamless, transparent, and professional experience for every client. We understand that circumstances may change and you may wish to cancel a service you have requested. This Cancellation Policy outlines how and when cancellations can be made, and what conditions apply.
2. Service Nature
Selfcraft Legal provides professional and intellectual property services such as:
- Trademark filing and registration
- Legal documentation and drafting
- IP strategy consultation
- Copyright, design, and patent-related services
Because our work involves personalized legal effort and third-party/government filings, cancellations are subject to specific conditions described below.
3. Cancellation Before Service Initiation
You may cancel your order before work begins or before any filing has been made with the concerned authority.
- A partial refund (up to 80%) may be issued after deducting administrative and payment gateway charges.
- To initiate a cancellation, please email support@selfcraftlegal.com within 24 hours of placing your order or before you receive confirmation that work has commenced.
- Once the work process starts (e.g., search report prepared, draft created, or government fee paid), cancellations are no longer eligible for a refund.
4. Cancellation After Service Initiation
Cancellations cannot be processed once any of the following has occurred:
- A trademark or other IP application has been filed.
- A consultation has been completed or a report has been delivered.
- Legal documentation or drafts have been prepared and shared.
- Third-party or government fees have been incurred.
At this stage, no refund or cancellation can be made, as the service is considered rendered in part or full.
5. Cancellation by Selfcraft Legal
In rare cases, Selfcraft Legal may cancel a service order due to:
- Incorrect or insufficient information provided by the client.
- Non-payment or delayed payment of required fees.
- Unethical, illegal, or non-compliant requests.
- Unavailability of the requested service in a certain jurisdiction.
Clients will be notified immediately, and a full or partial refund (depending on work completed) may be processed.
6. How to Request a Cancellation
To request cancellation:
- Email support@selfcraftlegal.com with the subject “Cancellation Request”.
- Include your order ID, service name, and reason for cancellation.
- Our team will respond within 3–5 business days.
7. Processing Time for Refunds
- Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days after approval.
- Refunds will be made via the original payment method used.
- An email notification will confirm when your refund is initiated.
8. Non-Refundable Components
- Government or statutory filing fees
- Payment gateway or transaction charges
- Fees for searches, reports, or drafts already prepared
- Express or priority service charges
9. Important Notes
- Cancellation requests after work initiation are not accepted.
- All cancellation approvals are subject to verification by Selfcraft Legal.
- Selfcraft Legal reserves the right to amend this policy at any time without notice.
